Nichola Malpas

I have worked full time as a painter and illustrator for the last 25 years. My work aims to be colourful, dramatic and sometimes whimsical, whether I take a representational or an abstract approach. I like to let the subject matter determine the style. Land- and seascapes of the imagination; birds, animals and plants are my mainstay, but it is not unusual for me to be inspired by a single colour or mood - and this will lend itself to a more conceptual approach.
