Jessie Cunningham-Reid

Jessie Cunningham-Reid is an Australian multidisciplinary artist who seeks to distil the banal everyday into more nuanced ways of seeing. Working across oil, drawing, textiles, photography, and digital collage, her works realised within strong, bold colours are both abstract and emotional. Jessie studied at Sydney’s National Art School, as well as undertaking a Masters in Art Therapy at La Trobe and the Drawing Marathon with Graham Nixon at the New York Studio School. Currently, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Fashion Design at RMIT. Despite never consciously arriving at an artistic career, Jessie has intuitively approached her practice throughout the years through continual self-exploration. She has exhibited solo at Brunswick Street Gallery and Alternating Current Space Gallery, and within group shows at Trocadero Artspace, VCA Artspace, Brunswick Street Gallery, Centre for Contemporary Photography, and in various exhibitions and collections in the USA, Vietnam, and Spain.
