Marian Crawford

Marian Crawford is a visual artist and senior lecturer in Fine Art at Monash Art Design & Architecture, Melbourne, Australia, where she has worked for just over ten years. Her artworks explore the relationships between fine art printmaking processes, the artist book, and the printed image in contemporary culture.
Crawford has exhibited her artwork nationally and internationally since 1996. Her writings about artist books appear in Verso Magazine, 2015—2016, and in 2015/16 she was awarded the Siganto Fellowship at the State Library of Queensland. In 2015 Crawford established a collaborative research network The News Network Project to creatively recontextualise current events in on-going public outcomes that contribute to contemporary visual art.
